John began the process of building the kids a tree house. We have lived here for almost two years, and he has been talking about building one since we moved in. We finally decided it was time to get started. As John was plotting his design and calculating materials needed, the April issue of Popular Mechanics arrived. What timing. The photo above is from said issue of Popular Mechanics. As soon as he saw it, John knew that would be our tree house. Our original design had support posts at each of the four corners. He was excited to find this design since it will not require supports to be on the ground. He was dreading mowing around the supports. Anyway, with the design chosen we made some progress this weekend. The floor is complete. Sunday, March 28, 2010

How FUN! I always wanted a treehouse when I was a kid. I'm hoping we can build one for our little girls before they get too big for it!
