June marked two years since we purchased our own piece of paradise in this quaint little town. Mississippi is not where I imagined spending the bulk of my existence, but here we are, and I must admit, it's a great place to be.
Now on to the reason for this foray into blog land. Today, I passed another milestone in the game of life in Mississippi. I established a primary care physician. I know, it's a big step. Since I don't foresee another move in our future, it is probably time to lay down some roots. The fact that my head felt like it might explode helped expedite the doctor visit, but I was going to go for a checkup anyway, at some point, maybe. It's not that I am opposed to going to the doctor, it just takes time. Time that I don't have. Two shots and four prescriptions later, my head still hurts, but it should all be better tomorrow. If I'd know I was that sick, I wouldn't have gone to work this morning. That would have been way more fun than just skipping out a little early. Oh well, you live and learn. I will however take a whole day off in a few weeks. My new PCP is sending me to a plastic surgeon to have a few moles removed. He didn't lecture too much about fair skin and sun exposure, so we should get along just fine. One more reason to love where God has led us.
